More Black Type for Little Brose's Family

Matahga (Tivaci-Mohegan Star by Reliable Man), a close relation to Little Brose, was a brilliant winner of the Listed 1400m Oaklands Plate at Morphettville in Adelaide on Saturday.

The first foal from an unraced half-sister to Little Brose, the Tivaci colt came from well back on the home turn, weaving between runners in a commanding performance that will have connections excited about the spring. The last two winners of the Oaklands Plate, Femminile and Coco Sun, have both gone on to win Group 1 races.

Group 1 Blue Diamond stakes winner Little Brose (Per Incanto-Mohegan Sky by Straight Man) will stand his first season at stud at LA this year for a service fee of $15,000 plus GST.

Across in Sydney, the John Anderson bred Rolling Magic (Per Incanto – Not a Jaffa by Iffraaj) was a first up winner over 1300m, taking his record to 4 wins and 3 minor placings from 11 career starts. The 4YO gelding was a $100,000 purchase by Will Freedman from the Sledmere Stud draft at the 2022 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
