Many of the best judges in Australasia were keen to get their hands on the only Per Incanto colt in the NZB National Weanling Sale which took place at Karaka on Thursday.
The first foal of the stakes winning Shamexpress mare London Express was eventually knocked down to James Mitchell Bloodstock and Jim Carey from Newgate Farm in New South Wales for $190,000, comfortably the leading priced lot for the sale.
LA presented the only Per Incanto filly in the catalogue, and the foal share was purchased by Auckland’s Lord of Wingrove Ltd for $65,000.
The top priced weanling in LA’s draft was the $70,000 paid by Noble Bloodstock/Prima Park and Bevan Smith Bloodstock for the Savabeel-Rosetta colt.
