Winning Run for Nadeem Continues
Since June 13 2012 Nadeem has sired 12 individual winners including a Group 2 South African Oaks winner. His latest winners are Beaufort Gyre (Nadeem - Arctic Drift) who won over 1600m at Newcastle on Saturday while Carla (Nadeem - Alberghetti) won the following day in Western Australia, also over 1600m. Interestingly both three-year-olds are from Mr Prospector line mares.
Nadeem’s juveniles are no slouches either. Since June 13 he has had five individual two year-old runners with three of those winning and the other two running second. His statistics almost mirror Darci Brahma who is fully booked and stands for more than double Nadeem’s standing fee.
Breeders confidence in Nadeem has been most encouraging since we announced his acquisition three months ago. We were encouraged to read in a Waikato Times article on Friday that the connections of the stakeswinning mare Marea Alta – subsequent runner up in the following days Listed Taumarunui Cup – are considering having her served by Nadeem before giving her a final campaign this spring.
After a run of minor placings Antownov (Towkay-Miss Sartorial) deservedly bought up his maiden career win when successful over 1400mat Otaki on Saturday.
The LA bred and part owned Savvy As (Savabeel-Clermont Lass) won over 1700m in Singapore on Friday evening.
