Per Incanto RTR Sale Grad Wins for Te Akau in Aus

With the NZB Ready to Run Sale just around the corner, it's timely that an LA graduate from last year's sale opened her winning account in style in Victoria on Tuesday.

Kiwi Raider (Per Incanto – Anaween by More Than Ready), who ran third on her debut a fortnight ago behind the highly touted Street Artist, delivered the army of punters who had backed her into odds on when successful over 1017m at Moe.

Trained at Cranbourne by Te Akau Racing and bred by LA, the 3YO filly was offered on the farm's behalf by Kilgravin Lodge at last years NZB RTR sale, where she was purchased by David Ellis/Ozzie Kheir/Group 1 Bloodstock/Bruce Perry Bloodstock for $270,000.

Kiwi Raider is full sister to Castillian, who to date has won 5 times in Australia and earnt over $400,000.

LA has three Per Incanto 2YO’s heading to the RTR sale on 12 and 13th November. Lot 348 is a full brother to the Group 1 winner Bonham, and Lot 233 is the first foal of a Frankel mare.

First and foremost, stockman and people whose interest in the animal translates into an innate ability to read how a horse will develop. I’ll see a foal at LA and Sam or Buzz will tell me how they expect it to develop. I’ll see it during my Karaka inspections 12 months later, and you could blow me over with a feather
