Following on from Per Incanto’s popularity with the Hong Kong and Australian markets at the recent Ready to Run Sale, a winning treble at Happy Valley on Wednesday evening is further evidence of the stallions increasing standing in the former British colony.
The winning treble which comprised Gouten of Garo, Wood on Fire and Incanto Prepared has lifted Per Incanto to second position on the Hong Kong sires premiership for individual winners only behind Exceed and Excel while he currently sits 3rd on the prize money premiership.
For good measure, debutant Dark Alley (Per incanto-Queenalley by Towkay) made an impressive winning debut at Hastings yesterday. The 4YO is bred and raced by LA and Guy and Brigid Lowry. Rumour has it the trainer had to pick-up the bar tab.
Per Incanto’s recent results are perfectly timed with 31 yearlings carded for sale at next month’s Karaka Yearling Sales.
