The Jenna Mahoney-trained son of Time Test moved stylishly through the grades last preparation and his latest victory over 1400 metres showed him to be capable of adding black-type success to his record of five wins from 15 appearances.
Sweet Smile is out of the retired Singspiel mare Bella Rosalia and was sold for $100,000 by LA at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale.
He trialled for Mahoney before relocating to Hong Kong where he placed from a handful of starts and subsequently returned to the Byerley Park trainer’s stable.
