Te Akau Secures Per Incanto Filly

It was a case of some of the most astute domestic judges coming for the LA lots on day three of Book 1 of the National Yearling Sales Series on Tuesday.

Offered on behalf of her breeder, Wellingtonian John Anderson, the sweet walking Per Incanto filly from Not A Jaffa was bought by David Ellis for $290,000.

Chris Rutten, Jim and Anne Gibbs and Brendan and Jo Lindsay also purchased LA yearlings on day three.

After three days selling, Per Incanto sits sixth on the sire averages with ten yearlings sold at an average price of $170,500. The only domestic based stallion above him is the Waikato Stud colossus Savabeel.

A real sense of stockmanship and a love of the animal. When our mares arrive back from LA, they look like they’ve had a month at Club Med, with some of the trimmings of the buffet, but also the glow of having had the attention of a personal trainer
