Time Test Run Continues

Time Test’s excellent season continued at the Otaki meeting on Tuesday, which had been postponed from Saturday.

One of the stallions’ loyal supporters John O’Brien bred and owns the maiden 1400m winner Jaeger. Out of his Gold Centre mare Waiana Gold, the 3YO's success was the sires 15th individual 3YO winner for the season, which has him in second place behind Proisir on the NZ premiership for winners in the age group.

An impressive debut winner back in November, trainer Roydon Bergerson has been patient with Testing and the 4YO mare remained unbeaten fresh when she led all the way over 1200m. Bred by Inglewood Stud, the daughter of the Keeper mare McCavity is owned by G James.

Time Test narrowly missed siring the first three winners on the programme when the SH MacGregor bred and owned Pixie Caramel ran third in the opening event. The well named mare, out of the seven-time winning mudlark Philipa Charlotte, looks set for a fruitful winter.

While Time Test ceased shuttling to Little Avondale in 2024, the son of Dubawi has certainly left his mark as his stock have been given time to fully mature. Also, with his exceptional Juddmonte bloodlines, expect Time Test to eventually feature strongly as a broodmare stallion.
