Time Test Sets Book 2 Alight

After a good result with his only Book 1 lot, Time Test has begun Book 2 of the NZB National Yearling Sales in spectacular fashion siring the top priced and fourth top priced lots on day 1.

Fielding’s HGT Bloodstock sold a Time Test colt from the Per Incanto mare Fascino Lass, on behalf of John O’Brien, for $120,000 to John Foote Bloodstock.

The fireworks came later on in the session with Paul Moroney Bloodstock/Catheryne Bruggeman and Sears Racing purchasing the Time Test colt from the Pour Moi mare Kerre for $220,000.

While the son of Dubawi was making his presence felt in the Karaka sale ring, just an hour south of Auckland at Te Rapa, his son Notabadspillane, bred by Jim and Les Wallace, was putting himself into NZ Derby contention with a rousing staying performance to land the maiden 2100m at just his third career start.

Day 2 of Book 2 begins at 11am on Thursday.
