Time Test Trending

On the back of new stakes performers in Australia and NZ last weekend, Time Test looks to have unearthed another promising type in the shape of the Chris Waller trained Personal Best who ran second in Sydney on Wednesday.

Bred by LA and Te Parae’s Angela Williams, the 3YO gelding appreciated the better track conditions at Warwick Farm and in particular the step to 1600m coming from well off the pace at the 600m.

With the likes of Group 3 placed The Years, the stakes placed Running on Time and recent Kevin Hickman bred Queensland winner Persual, Time Test’s profile in Australia is trending favourably something further evidenced by the high-profile training partnership of Ciaron Maher and David Eustace recently acquiring the former Dunedin trained filly Elsie May, whose last start was an unlucky midfield finish in the Listed Dunedin Guineas.

The recent spate of promising performances from a number of Time Test’s progeny throughout Australasia are likely to be slowed by the onset of winter and wet tracks but the results of the last couple of months would indicate some exciting times are ahead next season for his stock.
