Time Test Thursday this week puts the spotlight on a largely unexposed filly whose raceday resumption is eagerly awaited.
LA bred Sense of Timing (Time Test – Pin Up Lae by Pins) caught the eye of David Ellis at Karaka in 2022 with the Te Akau principal securing the athletic, sweet moving daughter of Time Test for $100k.
She went into the black book of many astute punters after her sole raceday start, producing the fastest last 800m when getting home strongly for 4th at Tauranga at the back end of her juvenile season. Put aside, the Te Akau trained filly was next seen in public at the recent Te Rapa trials where she was a hard held third in her three-year-old heat run on an unsuitable heavy track.
From a daughter of Caulfield Cup runner-up Laebeel (Zabeel), the aptly named Sense of Timing looks capable of capitalising on the patient approach of her expert training team and excelling this season especially when she gets out to 1600m.
