LA Update For 7th May 07

Little Avondale are reflecting on much stronger results at last Sundays National Weanling Sale at Karaka compared to the corresponding 2006 sale. Last years consignment of 14 weanlings produced gross receipts for the stud and clients of $39,750. Sundays results were a healthier 15 sold for a return of $150,200 . Additions To The Stud

Over the past few months LA Stud have purchased four mares. The English mare Kalamanda, unraced, who is from the Aga Khan's K family. Heureka, seven times winner, twice at listed level who is closely related to the exciting Red Lord by Redoutes Choice in Anthony Cummings stable. What a great day for the relations of Little Avondale's breeding stock in the G1 feature at Awapuni on Saturday, the Sires Produce Stakes. First Nightlign (Align - Indian Squaw) , is out of a Caroligian mare who stood at LA Stud. Second Fluer De'Here (Dehere - Fleur de chine) . Weekends Results

Week in week out the Towkays keep on performing. Last week it was the boys turn up in Asia, Armada G2 second, Happee Owner G2 Fourth in the Chairmans Trophey and Sparky Winner 3rd in the Macau Guineas G3. This week the girls stole the show. Towkay's service fee set last week has been justified with the results from his performers on the track over the weekend.
